Bakdraft aka Mc’jo is Rapper, Singer, Producer and Song Writer base in Tembisa a township in Gauteng, South Africa. He believes in simplicity and letting the music do the talk; his sound ranges from Soulful Jazzy Hip Hop, Electro Funk, Grime to Rhythm and blues.

He is currently working on solo project a Mixtape to be titled “Elements Of Fire” that is due for release early 2012 it features production from Lully a South African based producer, Spinners Production a UK based producer, June G a Washington D.C based producer just to name a few. He is planning to release an EP that’s not yet titled late 2012 in which he’ll be collaborating with his live band. He’s first single Good Times featuring Mike M produced by June G debut on YFM’s Hott99 charts on the 22^nd Of December.

He’s part and co-founder of Quietude a two member Hip Hop collective with poetic, jazzy, rhythm and blues roots. Their fresh interpretation of Hip Hop and R’nb is best described as a cocktail of their personalities brewed into a vibrant musical concoction that caters for the open minded, non-conformist lover of music as a whole.

18 Feb 2012 at Original Parts Vintage Store catch Bakdraft Live...

On the 18th of February 2012 Original Vintage Parts Concept Store presents Bakdraft(of Quietude) live on stage. He(Bakdraft) will be showcasing some of the music off his upcoming mixtape titled "Elements Of Fire", including "Good Times" his first single produced June G a Washington D.C based producer. The song received a warm welcome from the masse with a number of downloads and is currently on rotation on YFM's playlist. This is his first performance for the year and one of many full length performances that he'll showcase in his hometown Tembisa.  This is proving to be an event not to be missed....
